Polynucleotides - Collagen stimulating injections
Polynucleotides stimulates natural collagen production, improves elasticity and increases hydration and hair growth. Polynucleotides use trout protein amino acid precursors to stimulate collagen over the course of a few months. Polynucleotides were first used for burns scar patients nearly 10 years ago, and the treatment has now moved into the aesthetic sphere.
TREATABLE AREAS
Under eyes, face, scalp
BENEFITS
Reduce the appearance of wrinkles & pigmentation, and stimulate hair growth.
TREATMENT
After a thorough assessment, and marking of the area to be treated, the area is cleaned, numbed with local anaesthetic cream for 15 minutes, and then multiple injections with a tiny needle are placed in the skin of the treated area. It's best done as a course of 3 treatments sessions, each session 2-4 weeks apart, and a course of 3 will usually last a year in it's effects. Just one session is unlikely to have a huge impact but a session of 3 is shown to have clinically significant results.
YOUR Consultation
You will have a full consultation with Dr Anna to discuss your needs, expectations and to devise a tailored treatment plan. We also offer a review 2-4 weeks after the initial treatment, when we’ll discuss the results and likely carry out a second treatment.
Post treatment guidelines
As well as keeping the treated area clean for the first 24 hours, you need to expect post treatment puffiness and swelling for the first 24 hours - this is totally normal and to be expected, so this is not a treatment to have the day before a busy social occasion.
