MICRO-nEEDLING Process
Treatment
The area is thoroughly cleaned
Local Anaesthetic cream is applied to the treatment area and left for at least 15 minutes
The area is treated with the sterile Skinpen device for approximately 25-30 minutes
Treatment is usually painless, or just a tickle or mild discomfort
After the treatment the skin is re-cleaned and a clinically approved soothing balm is applied
You will be given some clinically approved after creams to take home for use over the next week
The treated area will look mildly red like sun-burn for the next 4-24 hours
You may get some mild peeling / flaking a few days after
You will notice improvement in skin quality over the 1-3 months after as the collagen and elastin re-model and increase
For best effects a course of 3-6 treatments 1-2 months apart is best
Post-treatment
While microneedling is minimally invasive and can be done in less than an hour, there are important things to keep in mind post-appointment.
